Further to this, the whole of the North Cornish coastline is within easy reach. The North Cornish coastline is home to picturesque villages like Port Issac and contains historic harbours. This being such an impressive landscape you may not be surprised to know this area has been featured in many TV and film pieces, including Poldark, Daphne du Maurier's Jamaica Inn, and Doc Martin. Also not far from the park is Tintagel Castle, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur, Boscastle harbour, Warbstow Bury Ancient Hill and the Widemouth Bay Beach.


All around or under the ten-mile mark, are other excellent areas to explore, such as Crackington Haven, a beach that was once the haunt of smugglers, but is now a family favourite. It is a beach surrounded by rock pools and sand at a low tide. It has won a Premier Seaside award and is the nearest beach from St Tinney. You also have (in order of nearest to furthest from the park) Strangles Beach, Boscastle, Rock Valley, Rough Tor, Tintagel and of course Widemouth Bay (the nearest of the large-sized beaches and another Premier Seaside Award winner), Trebarwith and Bude, a well known seaside resort which contains lots of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, surfing, golf and fishing.
