Buying on a new holiday park development can give you more choice over location, pitch position and home specification than buying an existing holiday home. Depending on the park, you may be able to choose from available pitches, select a new static caravan or lodge, or discuss optional extras such as decking, parking, outdoor space or upgraded interiors.
Before enquiring, check whether the plot or pitch is available immediately, whether a specific holiday home is already available, and whether there are restrictions on manufacturers, model sizes or siting timescales. You should also review the annual site fees, licence length, park season, utility connections, insurance requirements, pet rules, subletting rules and any costs for decking, transport, siting or connection.
The wording can vary between parks. Some may describe a “plot”, others a “pitch”, “new development”, “new phase” or “available base”. Always confirm exactly what is being offered before committing.
