Saltmarshe Castle Park nestles in woodland on the grounds of Saltmarshe Castle, which was a country house and estate first owned by the Higginson family and then latterly, the Barnaby family in 1946. Saltmarshe Castle itself was demolished in 1955 but original parts of the outer walls and turrets have been preserved, together with various outbuildings, stables, ice house and cider wheel, offering a historical, picturesque and unique place to live.
