If you’re are looking for a more scenic location to visit, Trevose Head Heritage Coast is a 20-minute drive away with beautiful views of Polzeath is a 30-minute drive with equally beautiful coastal walks to well known Rock, where you can do a bit of star-spotting or catch the ferry to Padstow for a meal in a Rick Stein or Paul Ainsworth establishment.
