Thatched Cottage Park is a small residential park which is situated on the outskirts of the village of Lyndhurst (the capital of the New Forest). There is a bus stop right outside the park and Ashurst, which is on the main Waterloo – Weymouth railway line is just a few minutes drive away. Just 9 miles east is the city of Southampton, with all its attractions and wide variety of shops, malls, and of course this very busy port hosts liners and other shipping from across the world and these are clearly visible as they navigate the Southampton Water.
