Riverview Park is close to the little riverside village of Althorne, overlooking the river Crouch is the setting for this lovely Park 15 miles from Chelmsford and 3 miles from Burnham-on-Crouch. It is very popular with retired or semi-retired persons (50+) who want to lead an active life. Sailing, fishing and a boat marina are available locally together with several good golf clubs. The attractive village of Althorne has a Post Office cum General Store and Burnham-on-Crouch has a good sized Supermarket and Doctor and Dentist, etc.

A bus service runs from the Park to Chelmsford fortnightly, another bus service runs from the park to Basildon Thursday & Friday. The Village Link Bus runs to South Woodham Ferrers and Burnham-on-Crouch, Monday to Saturday. The Railway Station is approximately one mile away which connects with the Liverpool Street / Southend Line. Bread and milk are delivered regularly on the Park. Further pets are not accepted at Riverview Park.
