County Down has more parks than anywhere else in Northern Ireland. The Ards peninsula holds a string of them at Groomsport, Ballywalter, Ballyhalbert and Cloughey, with more at Newtownards and at Downpatrick near Strangford Lough.
Newcastle is the other centre, with four holiday parks and a residential park at the foot of the Mournes. Annalong and Kilkeel continue down the coast, and Newry and Hillsborough sit inland.
Residential park homes in Northern Ireland come under the Caravans Act (Northern Ireland) 2011, which requires a written agreement between you and the park owner. The Ards parks and Hillsborough sit within 40 minutes of Belfast, so compare a few and ask each for its season and fees before you commit.
