Manor Park Homes have been designing and building homes and lodges for almost 40 years, developing a reputation for producing units that combine solid craftsmanship with thoughtful design. The Baker continues that tradition.

The home is named in honour of Simon Baker, the company’s Head of Sales and Commercial, who sadly passed away recently. This new model stands as a fitting tribute to his legacy.

Exterior and First Impressions

At 50ft x 22ft, the Baker is a generously proportioned residential park home. Its exterior presents a modern aesthetic, featuring what Manor describe as an M-shaped frontage, which creates both visual interest and architectural character. The lounge benefits from two sliding patio doors, allowing plenty of natural light while providing excellent ventilation during warmer weather. A further external door is located off the kitchen via the utility room. Entering through the main hallway, the layout immediately reveals the spaciousness of the home. Two interior windows offer views into the dining area, creating a sense of openness and flow. A practical touch comes in the form of ten built-in storage baskets positioned in the hallway, providing useful everyday storage.

Lounge

The lounge makes full use of the impressive 22-foot width, creating a bright and comfortable living space.

A central wall-mounted unit with integrated drawers provides a focal point for the television area, while the seating arrangement includes two large armchairs and a two-seat sofa. A glass-topped coffee table adds a stylish yet practical centrepiece, complemented by an additional side table.

Two large patio doors flood the room with natural light and provide easy access outdoors.

Kitchen and Dining Area

The Baker features an excellent open-plan kitchen, designed with both style and practicality in mind. Worktops are finished in Premier Stone, offering durability and a premium feel. Storage is plentiful, with a large number of cupboards and cabinets throughout. The kitchen comes fully equipped with:

  • Dishwasher
  • Hob and oven
  • Washing machine
  • Fridge/freezer

A breakfast bar with two padded stools provides an informal dining option. The dining area sits neatly within the open-plan layout and features a round glass-topped table with padded chairs, comfortably seating four people.

Utility Room

Located just off the kitchen, the utility room provides additional worktop space along with further cupboards and shelving. A side entrance door adds practicality, making it ideal for everyday use.

Bathroom and Study

Moving down the hallway, a coat storage area with hanging hooks sits opposite the main bathroom. The bathroom includes a bath with shower combination, finished with stylish matt black taps and shower fittings. A built-in cabinet provides useful storage for bathroom essentials. A standalone hand basin sits beneath a large angled oval mirror, while a matt black wall radiator ensures the space remains warm and comfortable.

Next to the bathroom is a compact study or hobbies room. Despite its modest size, it provides a practical workspace with a shelf-style desk, swivel chair, and several conveniently placed power sockets. A deep window allows natural light to flood the room.

Second Bedroom

Opposite the study is the second double bedroom. While it does not have an en-suite, it remains a spacious and comfortable room. Built-in wardrobes provide generous hanging space, while bedside cabinets and freestanding lamps add both practicality and comfort. A large side window ensures the room benefits from plenty of natural light and ventilation.

Master Bedroom and En-Suite

The master bedroom is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Baker. The room features a king-sized bed, giving it an immediate sense of luxury. Above the headboard sit three additional windows, two of which open, bringing in even more natural light while enhancing ventilation.

Furniture includes:

  • Bedside cabinets with drawers and lamps
  • Built-in wardrobes on either side of the dressing area
  • An island dressing table with cupboard storage and padded stool

The bedroom also benefits from a well-appointed en-suite shower room. This includes a walk-in shower, matt black taps and fittings, and a matching black wall radiator. Built-in cupboards and worktop space provide additional storage, while a frosted window allows natural light while maintaining privacy. LED ceiling lighting ensures excellent illumination throughout.

Verdict

The Manor Baker is a park home that showcases the strengths of this long-established manufacturer. Manor’s experience is evident in the thoughtful layout, the generous proportions, and the attention to detail. Features such as oak internal doors and quality fittings reinforce the sense of solid construction and careful design. Like all Manor homes, the Baker can be customised and built to bespoke requirements, and is available in a range of sizes. Judging by the level of interest at the NEC Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, this model is set to become a popular addition to the Manor Park Homes range.
