Before you buy on an EKOS park

EKOS runs 27 parks across 18 counties, so the park matters more than the operator. Everything below applies wherever you buy.

Check whether the park is residential or holiday. Residential parks are licensed for year-round living. Holiday parks are not, and the agreement you sign is a different kind of document. Ask which one you are looking at before anything else. Residential park or holiday park?

Find out when the pitch fee is reviewed. Every park has a review date. Ask when it falls and what the last three increases were. How pitch fee reviews work

Ask which standard the home was built to. BS 3632 is the British Standard for year-round occupation. Get the answer in writing. BS 3632 explained

Go and stand on the plot. Where the sun falls, where you park, how far the bins are, who lives either side. Photographs will not tell you any of that.
