Description

Crook O'Lune Park is a holiday park surrounded by the beautiful Northern countryside landscapes perfect for a relaxing family get-away. The park is set on a private manor estate amongst forest and farmlands with a picnic area on site, ideal for enjoying the views.

The park is pet-friendly and has its own dog-walking area as well an on-site reception where you can be advised of the best nearby places to visit. The park is next to the tranquil River Lune where fishing facilities are available and the quaint village of Caton is a short walking distance away.

The village of Caton has amenities including a Co-op convenience store and friendly local pubs. A ten-minute drive away is the park's sister park South Lakeland Holiday Village where holiday-home owners have access to the park's facilities including a leisure complex with a pool and gym. Lancaster is a ten minute drive of the park and has many great attractions including the remarkable Williamson's Park with play areas and breath-taking views as well as the unique Tropical Butterfly House- resembling a tropical rainforest with colourful butterflies, flowers and vines. Lancaster is home to the Peter Scott Gallery with an array of international art exhibits and The Lancaster City Museum. Furthermore, the city is home to a variety of local independent retailers and boutiques as well as quirky cafes down the old-fashioned cobbled streets.

The Lake District National Park is easily accessible from the park and has much to do and see. There are walkways and cycle-routes to suit all abilities from gentle, scenic strolls to adventurous hikes and mountain-biking. The Lake District offers a great range of water activities such as boat hire at the beautiful Coniston lake- with paddleboards, motor boats, canoeing and more. Tree-top trekking at the Lake District is perfect for an adventurous family day out with thirty-five exiting tree-top obstacles finished with a zip-line, or for something more relaxed Muncaster Castle is a good day-out with a historic building surrounded by Himalayan Gardens and a stunning bluebell woods and an enchanted trail, adventure playgrounds as well as a quaint café.
