About Dartmoor View

Dartmoor View is an exclusive holiday park with a difference.  More than just a humble resort for holidaymakers in search of countryside walks and coastal retreats, it is a private slice of paradise.  Holiday homeowners can enjoy over 20 acres of their own private gardens and grounds, carefully landscaped to look stunning all year round.  What's more, all residents will have access to a fantastic heated outdoor pool.  This really does help to make it feel like more than just your run-of-the-mill Devon retreat.

You will also benefit from a lovely lounge area which is for owners' use only.  This can really help you to settle in and meet some of your neighbours.  The community here is close-knit and consists of like-minded people.  Holidaymakers here will be in search of something a little less noisy than your everyday UK holiday resort, and Dartmoor View does more than satisfy these criteria.  The park boasts several luxury lodges and properties which open up throughout the year, however, you will need to book a viewing as soon as possible to take full advantage.  This makes sense, even in the colder months!

As the name suggests, Dartmoor View is based very close to the popular Dartmoor National Park, one of the UK's most celebrated areas of genuine beauty.  You will also be able to see far and wide across the rugged hills of rural Devon from the very top of the park and beyond.  It is well worth moving in here with a good camera and a sturdy pair of binoculars!  This is a holiday site you are going to want to come back to again and again, and not just during the warmer months.

Whether you choose to move here for access to some of Devon's most popular sights and sounds, or if you simply want somewhere quiet and peaceful to retreat to, your needs are covered.  Dartmoor View is one of Devon's premier holiday park locations.  We are always pleased, and proud, to be able to offer listings here.  Do take a look at what's available while places last, and let us know if we can be of any assistance while you are looking around.

Location

Most people will make a beeline for Dartmoor View thanks to the location.  There may be no park in Devon which offers better views of the unspoilt hills and pastures for miles around.  Get up high and cast your eyes across the spectacular scenery.  It really is like taking a step into the countryside and leaving town and city living behind.  While you will be amongst like-minded neighbours, Dartmoor View will offer you your own private place in paradise.

As mentioned, the park is very close to the world-famous Dartmoor National Park.  Once you have moved into the community, you should certainly make a point of exploring it for yourself.  The park, closely linked to several towns via the A30, is technically based in the community of Okehampton.  However, Okehampton itself is just a few minutes' walk down the road.  You should be able to use the locale for all your everyday needs while on holiday.  If not, there are further village locations in Spreyton and Cheriton Bishop nearby.

Dartmoor View is very easy to get to if you head towards Exeter, or towards the National Park itself.  The holiday park is right at the edge of Dartmoor, meaning that you should always be able to find your way back with ease.  Many people have discovered Dartmoor View while traversing the National Park, particular thanks to its extreme ease of access and its premier location.  Park up and head out with ease via the main road, or make sure to take local public transport to visit nearby towns and cities.  Close to Exeter, you will also never be too far from railway links if you want to explore the wider south west of England.  But with rugged hills and gorgeous plains like these - why stray too far?

The Local Area

We've already mentioned Dartmoor National park at length, so let's have a look at some of the other sites of interest based near to Dartmoor View.  If you do fancy taking in some of the local history and heritage, Exeter is a fantastic place to start.  This popular city lies just a few minutes' drive away from the holiday park, meaning that if you'd like to take in its famous cathedral, or simply want access to all the city amenities you've come to expect elsewhere, you are never too far away.

One of the big attractions of buying a holiday home at Dartmoor View is the proximity to rural walks.  Hikers and ramblers will adore the ease of access to the nature trails and green walks just outside of the park.  Whether you choose to explore the hills for yourself, or want to keep it nice and level via local woodland, your holiday choices are entirely yours.  Dartmoor View is simply a great launchpad for holidaymakers who have a lot of grand ideas, and who want to fit as much in as possible.

If you'd like to explore locales and historic areas a little less busy than Exeter, make a point of checking out Crediton, Wellington, Launceston and Holsworthy.  You may even wish to venture out towards the coast!  Take a look at nearby Bude, Port Isaac and Hartland for seaside adventures you won't forget in a hurry.

You should also make a point of looking into the Blackdown Hills, a stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as Exmoor National Park.  Exmoor is parallel to Dartmoor, and can be reached via main roads in just a few minutes by car or public transport.  In fact, you are more or less surrounded by lush, natural beauty.  Dartmoor View is one of the best-positioned holiday parks in the UK for countryside and nature lovers.

However, as stated, you're never cut off from local amenities and mod cons.  If you'd like to explore cities and towns close by, you can feel free to.  However, the noise and light pollution from these areas will never touch the holiday park.  That's all the more reason to find yourself the perfect holiday plot here while you still can.  Devon's holiday park scene is always expanding, and Dartmoor View is a resort you are going to need to keep your eye on.
