    Description

Harewood Park is set in an ideal location if you wish to be close to the local town and shopping facilities and yet still enjoy the peace and tranquillity of living on a park based in glorious Hampshire. With just 35 homes, Harewood park has a good community spirit which along with a live on park manager provides a real sense of security.

It is a pleasant park and set in the picturesque village of Andover Down, on the outskirts of Andover and close to all local amenities. There is a bus stop outside the park with connecting routes to Basingstoke, Winchester and Salisbury. Nearby you will find Andover Town which caters for all your shopping needs. Discover the shops and cafes around the attractive High Street and narrow walkways or explore the Chantry Centre, the town's modern indoor shopping complex. Being 13 miles north-west of Winchester, the town has been in continuous habitation since Saxon times and was granted its first charter in 1175 by King Henry II. Throughout its history, Andover has been situated on important lines of communication with the ancient Harrow Way, passing just north of the town. During the 18th century, the town was an important stopover route for stagecoaches between London, Salisbury and Exeter yet the nearby Iron Age settlement of Danebury Hill Fort, and the Roman remains of the Fullerton Mosaic, provide insights into Andover's more ancient past. Other places of interest include the Andover Museum and Museum of the Iron Age, Whitchurch Silk Mill and Highclere Castle. For those who like to walk and/or have a love of nature, don't miss the lovely Test Waywalking trail or the Hawk Conservancy Trust with its 150 different birds of prey. Music, dance and theatre can be found at The Lights or for exhibitions and activities there is the Fairground Craft and Design Centre.

All that said, if you are looking for a quiet retirement away from the hustle and bustle, this most definitely is the park for you.
