Hillcrest Park is a residential park designed for residents over the age of fifty. The park is in a perfect location, in the pastoral peaceful village of Wythall but in very easy access to Birmingham and Warwick. The park is attractive and well-maintained with landscaped gardens and blocked paving around the homes. There is a bus link directly outside the park and within walking distance are local shops and amenities including a farm shop, hairdressers and local pub- The Horse and Jockey. Within the village is also The Fulford Health Golf Club- an eighteen-hole course, and The Transport Museum which includes a café and shop and makes a perfect day out with visiting grandchildren.
The cultural city of Birmingham is a half-hour car journey from the park and is home to a myriad of shops, restaurants and cafes as well as leisure centres and attractions. The Birmingham botanical gardens are one of Birmingham’s best attractions with tropical rainforest glasshouses and beautiful gardens as well as a quaint tearoom. Great entertainment can be seen in the city in the Symphony Hall- a world famous large capacity concert hall presenting a diverse range of music, spoken word, dance and more. The Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is also well-visited with talks, events, exhibitions and tours from historical treasures to contemporary art. Warwick is also close to the park and is home to the famous historical landmark- Warwick Castle which is a stately mansion surrounded by gardens and woodlands with lots going on including shows and tours. Warwick also has a good selection of weekly and monthly markets.
