Description

New Forest Park is in a fantastic location, surrounded by nature but only 30 minutes away from the heart of Southampton, Portsmouth is less than an hour away and a short ferry ride takes you to the Isle of Wight and the busy retail town of Newport. You will never be bored with the huge variety of shopping centres, live entertainment, fabulous restaurants and museums to choose from out of these three bustling towns and cities. Or you can stay at home and relax in the beautiful surrounding countryside and waterways. It really is the best of both worlds.
We are located in the village of Langley, which is part of Blackfield. Langley tavern is a short walk away from our park and there are various local amenities including two supermarkets, shops for everyday essentials, a pharmacy, bakery and restaurants and takeaways for those days you just don't want to cook! Having such a wide variety of services so nearby means that you will only have to travel when you want to explore and have fun.
Located just a five minute drive away is the Gang Warily Recreation and Community Centre. Here you will find a huge range of both indoor and outdoor activities including fishing, badminton, bowls and a fully furnished gym. The sports bar there is for those of us who enjoy watching sport rather than playing it! There is a weekly 'Nifty 50's' group for anyone over the age of fifty to enjoy sports, drinks, activities and is a fantastic way of meeting new people. The centre is open every day and hosts a car boot sale every Sunday.
You can boat and fish on the Beaulieu River, with its mixture of salt and fresh water areas, and enjoy the unspoilt harbour which has been awarded the top accolade by the Yacht Harbour Association.
There are so many famous and historic attractions right on your doorstep. Ten minutes away is the village of Exbury, home of the world famous Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway. Built by the Rotchchild family there are 200 acres of beautiful landscape to explore and a nearby tea room in which to treat yourself.
Other historic attractions include; Bucklers Hard Hamlet, where navy ships were built for the battle of Trafalgar. Hurst Castle where Charles I was imprisoned in 1648 and the 800 year old Beaulieu Abbey ruins. This is just a tiny selection of attractions from an area steeped in history, the best way to find out more is to visit and see for yourself!
You practically step straight into Lepe County Park from your home, with its historic remains of the D-day landings, to swim and walk to your hearts content. Enjoy its wildflower meadows and take advantage of the spectacular bird watching areas. This is the perfect place to have fun and relax, with unspoilt views and quiet areas to read a book or just sit and enjoy the sound of nature around you. Bliss.
