Thatches Holiday Village
The following Park Rules are intended for the good management of the park and the benefit of occupiers. They form part of the agreement to occupy the lodge.
The village is open 12 months of the year.
RESTRICTIONS OF OCCUPANCY
Holiday lodges at The Thatches must not be used as a main residence. Evidence of a permanent address must be provided each year. See details in the Licence agreement, available in reception. All occupiers at the park must adhere to the conditions attached to the site licence. Lodges on the park are accommodated entirely at the owner's risk. The Thatches will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft or mishap, however caused. Your holiday lodge should only be used for the number of occupiers it was designed for.
VISITORS TO THE THATCHES HOLIDAY VILLAGE
The park is private property and we reserve the right to refuse anyone except you and those lawfully staying with you, or visiting you, permission to enter the park. Visitors arriving or leaving after 11.00pm must do so as quietly as possible to limit disturbance to others. We do not allow sales people or traders to enter the park without making an appointment with us first. All visitors must first report to reception, and visitors to your lodge are your responsibility.
CONDITION OF HOLIDAY LODGE
The exterior colour of your lodge may not be changed without our written permission. No signs are permitted to be displayed in the windows or on the exterior of the holiday lodge except its number or a nameplate of a reasonable size. We reserve the right to remove any other notices.
Any shed or storage box must be supplied by The Thatches Holiday Village. No walls or other fence like structures may be erected around the lodge, and any patios, verandas or decking must also be supplied and constructed by the company, and must not protrude more than 2 metres from the side of the lodge. Any trees, shrubs or plants must also be approved by the Company before planting.
TREES AND SHRUBS
You are not entitled to cut trees or hedges on the Park. Please inform the Company if you find any tree or hedge a nuisance. Nor are you allowed to dig holes in the ground without written permission.
The speed limit on the park for all vehicles is 10mph, and pedestrians must be given priority. Quad bikes and trial bikes are not permitted on the park, and no lorries, vans, camper-vans, trailers, boats or commercial vehicles are allowed on the park without written permission from the Company. The use of such vehicles is for access use only, and permission will be withdrawn if the vehicles are used in such a way so as to cause a nuisance or obstruction to others.
Repairs to motor vehicles cannot be carried out on the park, but a recognised breakdown service may attend in the event of a breakdown. All vehicles must be taxed and insured for use on a public road, and any disused or broken down vehicles will be removed. Washing cars with a hosepipe is not permitted. Vehicles must not be parked on a roadside or anywhere that is likely to cause an obstruction. All vehicles are used and left on the park at the owner's risk.
Please respect the privacy of other owners and Park users, keeping noise to a minimum. Musical instruments, stereos and radios must not be played above an acceptable level after 10.00pm. All occupiers of lodges must respect the comfort and convenience of others, and any disturbance or other action which is deemed to be a nuisance will not be tolerated by the Company. The use of unlawful drugs on the Park is a criminal offence and will lead to immediate termination of your licence agreement. Alcoholic drinks may only be consumed around the immediate vicinity of your Lodge. Fireworks and firearms are not permitted on the park. Fire hoses may not be used for any improper use such as washing cars etc. The Company also reserves the right to terminate your licence agreement as a result of any act of vandalism, criminal activity, other undesirable acts of behaviour, and any activity which constitutes being a nuisance to other Lodge Owners. We are entitled to eject from the Park anyone who acts in a manner likely to upset or annoy other users of the Park or our staff, or who is guilty of a criminal offence.
All pets must have written permission before being allowed on the park, which may be withdrawn at any time if the animal is a nuisance or if in the opinion of the Company, is likely to cause harm to others. Maximum of 1 dog allowed in each lodge, unless written permission is granted.
Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times (1 metre maximum) and are not allowed to roam freely. Owners are responsible for the removal of any fouling on the park. Failure to do so will be considered a serious breach of your licence agreement.
Certain dogs are not allowed on the Park, including American Pit Bull Terrier, Fuila Brasilerio, Japanese Tosa and Dog Argentino.
Access is not permitted to vacant pitches. Building materials or other plant must be left undisturbed
You must ensure that at least one dry powder fire extinguisher is fitted inside your lodge, and failure to comply and ensure that the extinguisher is serviced annually may render any insurance cover invalid. You must not attempt to carry out any work relating to gas or electric installation(s).

Do not introduce any foreign items into the drainage system including cleaning cloths, babies' nappies, sanitary towels, condoms, cooking fat, engine oil, grease or paint.
The Thatches Holiday Village must be supplied with at least one set of keys for each lodge.

Washing lines are not permitted on the park. We also request that towels and washing is not hung outside or over balconies.
ESTATE AGENT SALE SIGNS
Estate agent sale signs are not to be erected or placed on the plot or inside the holiday home. If required, McFarland Leisure Partnership will provide a purpose made sign.
No tent is permitted on the park.
Post can be delivered to The Thatches and collected from reception.
Are permitted, but only the types that are above ground level.
Lodge owners are forbidden to conduct a business either from their lodge or the park.
You must follow procedure for use of the swimming pool and all the separate rules applicable to the pool.
Are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times, and are to be supervised at all times so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others. Children may not ride toys or other similar items so as to cause a nuisance or undue noise
TV AERIALS & SATILITE DISHES
TV aerials and Satellite dishes are not allowed to be attached to the lodge or displayed anywhere other than what we provide through our central system
These rules have not been compiled to place unnecessary restrictions on lodge owners but rather to ensure that all may holiday peacefully in unspoilt surroundings. We are sure that provided the rules are accepted in the right spirit, The Thatches Holiday Village will continue to be a happy holiday community.
