Despite this park being located on the coast, at the edge of the county, the whole of Kent can be easily accessed.Eastfleet Caravan Park is about a five-minute drive from the village of Dymchurch and a 10-minute drive from Hythe. Both have lovely beaches that holidaymakers of all ages will enjoy. In addition, both have a good range of shops where you can top up your everyday holiday supplies, which is handy to have so nearby when you are self catering. And with pubs, cafes, tearooms and more, if you want a meal out and a break from cooking and washing up, both Hythe and Dymchurch are ideal places to go without needing to travel far from your caravan.However, if you would like to explore further afield, you'll find that Folkestone is just a 20-minute drive away, and Dover and Ashford are both about a half hour drive away, while historic Canterbury is about a 50-minute drive from Eastfleet Caravan Park.If you're staying here you're located on the edge of Romney Marsh and it's a lovely area to explore. One way to do this is to take a ride on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, a 15-inch gauge working railway that has both diesel and steam locomotives. There are stops at Hythe, Dymchurch, Romney Warren, New Romney, St Mary's Bay, Romney Sands and Dungeness.And while the region's beaches are pretty and can be a lot of fun, you might like to also explore the Dungeness National Nature Reserve, which is about a 20-minute drive south of this caravan park, or maybe the stretch of heritage coastline that runs between Dover and Folkestone. Two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are also close by, the Kent Downs and High Weald, beautiful areas which are great for walking holidays and for those who love cycling, too.If you want to learn more about the long and fascinating history of this area, visit Dover Castle, Walmer Castle or Deal Castle, or maybe head inland and tour the stunning and world famous Canterbury Cathedral. The whole family will enjoy a day out at Howletts Wild Animal Park, which is about a 40-minute drive from Eastfleet Caravan Park, plus Wingham Wildlife Park is also only about 40 to 50 minutes away by car.
